date protection declaration

Protection of your personal data is a particular concern of ours. Therefore we process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions. In this data protection declaration we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in connection with our website.

Data storage

When you visit our websites, our web servers automatically store

  • name of your internet browser and operating system
  • website originating your visit
  • pages of our website you visit
  • date, time and duration of each visit to each page
  • number of data sent in bytes
  • IP address used

Server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days, access log files for 60 days, and thereafter they are deleted. Data storage is performed for security reasons, e.g. to be able to clarify cases of abuse. If for evidence reasons data have to be preserved, they are exempt from deletion only until the incident is conclusively clarified. In exceptional cases we install safeguards on this website to provide longer storage for the data mentioned above. These data are stored only for retrieval.

If you use a form on the website to contact us or use our library, other personal data (first name, surname, telephone number, email address and address data of your company) are collected. These data are used within the company for processing your enquiries and any follow-up questions and preparing our service offering. We forward inquiries, which do not affect our sales territories, to the responsible sales partner.

Cookies

As do a number of other websites, our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Your browser has access to these data. Use of cookies leads to increased user friendliness and security on this website. Current browsers offer you a settings option not to permit cookies. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website may be compromised.

Web analysis by Google Analytics

To optimise and analyse our online offers, our website uses the service “Google Analytics” from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). This service uses “cookies”, in other words text files that are stored on your device to facilitate analysis of your use of the website. Information collected by the cookies is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA for storage.

IP anonymity is in force on our website. The user’s IP address inside the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area and in the other contract states of the agreement is truncated. Only in individual cases is the IP address initially sent in full to the USA to a Google server and then truncated. As a result of this truncation the personal reference is removed from your IP address. Under our direction Google uses the information transferred, to compile a report on use of the website. The IP address transferred from the user’s browser is not combined with other data stored by Google.

You can forbid the storage of cookies with a corresponding setting in your browser software. In this case the functionality of our website may be compromised. In addition you can prevent capture by the cookies of data relating to your use of our website for Google and processing of this data, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Alternatively with one click on this link you can prevent Google Analytics collecting data on you from our website. With one click on the above link you download an “opt-out cookie”. Therefore as a matter of principle your browser must allow the storage of cookies. If you regularly delete your cookies, a renewed click on the link is required every time you visit our website.

Your rights

As a matter of principle you have rights of information, correction, deletion, limitation, data transfer, withdrawal and objection. If you believe the processing of your data contravenes the data protection law or your legal data entitlements in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervising authority.
